Welcome to SIBA’s
Cleaner Air Work

At SIBA, we’re committed to improving the air we breathe—especially for the communities most impacted by transportation-related air pollution. Through two interconnected projects, Breathe Easy, Live Better and Community Solutions for Cleaner Air, we’re centering community voices, sharing critical information, and building lasting solutions for a healthier future.

1. Purpose
The purpose of this project is to support access to clean transportation by providing an e-bike
to reduce car dependency, lower emissions, and improve mobility for work, school, and essential
trips.

Equipment Use & Ownership
• The participant will receive an Aventon Abound LR e-bike which has a range of up to 60 miles per charge.

• For the first 8 months, SIBA will maintain partial ownership of the bike.
• After successful participation and compliance with program requirements, full ownership will
be transferred to the participant. Participant cannot resell, transfer or give away the bike.

3. Usage Expectations
• The participant agrees to use the e-bike regularly for commuting or essential trips.
• The participant commits to a minimum usage of 25-30 miles a month.

🌎 About the Projects

Breathe Easy, Live Better in King County

This project focuses on raising awareness about air pollution and reducing transportation emissions across King County. Through community engagement, workshops, and stakeholder partnerships, we’re empowering residents to take action and advocate for cleaner air and healthier neighborhoods.

As a complementary effort, this project zooms in on South King County, where communities—especially BIPOC and low-income families—experience higher levels of pollution. We’re working directly with residents in cities like Tukwila, Kent, and SeaTac to co-design emission reduction strategies rooted in local needs.
